The Albion Foundation

The Albion Foundation is a registered charity (Charity number 1081948) that works closely with West Bromwich Albion Football Club to deliver sporting and educational opportunities to the people of Sandwell and the surrounding boroughs.

Previously named West Bromwich Albion Community Programme we were formed in 1992 and became a registered charity in 2001.  We are uniquely recognised for the quality delivery of sport and education both nationally and regionally. We are proud of our strong partnerships developed over a number of years.  We are currently West Bromwich Albion’s nominated charity and have a number of ever changing private and public sector partners. 

As a further development to The Albion’s Foundation motto of ‘Inspiring to Achieve’ and to compliment the ever expanding sport development programme, Sporting Club Albion was born.

Sporting success is at the very heart of the WBA FC fabric and Sporting Club Albion provides further opportunities for locally gifted and talented athletes to pursue their sporting ability and at the same time represent the Albion in the famous blue and white stripes. 

The Albion Foundation through its partnerships with both community sport and school sport based partners will continue to provide pathways from grass roots initiatives through to gifted and talented opportunities. This will also include young people and adults with a range of disabilities. 

The Albion Foundation will provide resources and the management structures to ensure Sporting Club Albion is a long term sustainable concept that brings success to WBA FC and the local community.
